The City and Borough of Sitka welcomes proposals from companies or individuals who are interested in bulk fresh water export. We currently have 6,206,629,025 million gallons available for sale directly sourced from the Blue Lake reservoir. This abundant water source is fed by snow/glaciel melt, and rain precipitation. Blue Lake water is nearly pure in its natural state, so that Sitka is not required to filter it prior to purification and distribution to the consumer. A 36-inch diameter raw water pipeline is complete and ready to load water right on our waterfront.
