True Alaska Bottling

True Alaska Bottling Company began in December of 2002 for the purpose of managing the assets and bottling operations of Sitka Beverage Corporation. The True bottling plant is located six miles from downtown Sitka in the Sawmill Cove Industrial Park where they are leasing approximately 9 acres of land. The company recently purchased three acres of its leasehold including the bottling building. The building was renovated and set up as a high-speed, automated bottling plant in 1999 capable of producing 600,000 cases per month. The plant is capable of increasing its line operations three times within the current facilities. The plant produces its own bottles in 4 different sizes: .25 liter, .5 liter, 1.0 liter and; 1.5 liters.

The City and Borough of Sitka granted True Alaska Bottling the right to purchase untreated fresh water in bulk for export. Under the contract, Sitka will make available to True a total of 8,960 acre feet of raw water for a period of 24 months (to expire in December 2008) with the caveat that True must move at least 20 million gallons of water within that period.

The company bottles water under its own label, "True," and contracts to bottle water under other labels as well. The company ships water domestically as well as to international markets.
