Sawmill Cove Land Use Plan
The Sawmill Cove Board has developed a land use plan for the Industrial Park. The plan is shown below.
The Board has reserved a corridor for a future vessel haul out, identified road and utility easements and arranged the site to minimize conflicts between different business classes.
A 35,000 square-foot parcel has also been set aside for Employee Housing. Silver Bay Seafoods is leasing 18,000 square feet where they built a two-story dormitory type structure to accommodate seasonal employees. The company employs 150-200 workers in spring and summer.
The black line that runs from the right side to the orange parcel shows the location of the bulk water pipeline. It ends with a 36-inch diameter valve located less than a hundred feet from the shoreline where water tankers and other vessels can load intreated, fresh water up at an approximate rate of over 20,000 gallons per minute depending on certain variables.
